Our Amazing Staff

Meet our Youth Worker, Taylor

Coming from Australia, she has always had ties pulling her over to Canada. Her father is from Manitoba and she got dual citizenship when she was little which worked out great for her moving into the valley.

Taylor has had a long history working with children in a variety of different avenues. She coached ice skating and ice hockey (yes they have it in Australia!), helped teach and choreograph dancing and drama productions, worked at the IceArenA which included birthday parties, worked at a Santa photography set in a shopping mall, worked at Latitude which included birthday parties and school groups and Ready Steady Go Kids which coaches children the basics of sport. She has also helped mentor high school children at two different schools to help guide them through their schooling.

She was studying a middle school teaching degree but discovered it wasn’t quite the avenue of working with children she enjoyed. This began her journey of moving to Canada for a working holiday which quickly turned into a more permanent move. She has recently now completed her Responsible Adult Course and is beginning her path down the Early Childhood Education training.

Taylor looks forward to the future here in Canada and being a part of the Summit Hub team!
